Presidency

President: Arnav Patil

Vice President: Hannah Vogel

The presidential team is responsible for coordinating the projects and the work in the VMP. They organise weekly board meetings, where the members of the board present their work and where important decisions are discussed and voted on. Additionally, the president writes the board members' job specifications and coordinates office hours in CAB and HXE. The presidential team is also active in teaching committees as well as the department conferences. Together with the university politics members of board, they express the wishes and concerns of the students to the department. Furthermore, the president represents the VMP in the VSETH and has seats in its board council and members' council. Lastly, the president is also involved in organising many VMP events, e.g. Freshman weekend, Freshman day and the exam preparation courses.

Treasury

Jean-Michel Bergerhausen

The treasury is the "money boy/girl" of the board. They are responsible for all things involving finances at the VMP. The treasury administrates funding for events, pays the bills and has a general overview of the VMP's budget. If you want to learn about the VMP's financial well-being or really enjoy filling out tax forms, don't hesitate to contact quaestor[ät]vmp.ethz.ch.

External Relations

Tassia Flath

The External Relations office is responsible for maintaining good relationships with the business world. This means taking care of sponsorships, events and excursions jointly with different companies as well as posting job and internship offers to digital and physical bulletin boards. University Politics

Mathematics: Zhu Yu

Physics: Matej Rebro

University politics is mostly about standing up for the students' opinions and wishes in an academic context while maintaining good relationships with the departments. For the former we have the help of our university politics committee, which gets together a couple of times per semester to discuss current/pressing topics. In our publication, the VAMP, you can usually find an article explaining the recent developments and our plans for the future. If you want to raise a voice for your fellow students and/or you have some ideas that we could implement, don't hesitate to contact us at hopo[ät]vmp.ethz.ch or come to one of our committee meetings!

Culture

Nikolaj Sokolov

Hannah Vogel

Culture (from the Latin cultura 'processing', 'care', 'agriculture') refers in the broadest sense to everything that man himself creates, in contrast to nature that he has not created and not changed. In contrast, Helman refers to culture as a narrower term, namely a system of rules and habits that govern human coexistence and behaviour. Thus, the department of culture is responsible for simplifying living together during your time at ETH. While other departments are there to improve your grades, we sometimes have the opposite effect. But you will have fun at various events during your studies, from foundue to chess tournaments to Halloween parties and the "Käfergrill". We actually have an event for almost everyone, whether you like gastronomic events, skiing or parties, or want to shine in Jass. Read our newsletter regularly to make sure you don't miss anything and if you are super motivated, you can come to culture meetings to plan your own events or to help out with other events. We are happy to see you here and there :) Reach the three of us: kultur[ät]vmp.ethz.ch

IT

Jérôme Hofstetter

The board member for IT is responsible for all technical related topics, including mail servers and this website (yes, the one you are currently reading). If anything is not working, just write an email at it[ät]vmp.ethz.ch.

Student Affairs

Jerron Agard

Julia Krause

The Student Affairs team is responsible for everything that is closely linked to your studies. Be it the maintenance of the exam collection on the VMP homepage or the (co-)organization of great events, such as the freshmen-day and the Master Welcome Event, the mentoring program for freshmen, the Research Group Event, the core course presentations for physicists and the end-of-semester apéro in the spring semester.

Do you have any questions or feedback? Or would you like to send us your exam protocol for a small reward? Then send us an email to: studentisches[ät]vmp.ethz.ch

Communication

Juliane Malaun

The communication department is mostly responsible for the regular distribution of the VMP newsletter (every two weeks by e-mail) and the VMP's online presence, in particular through our Instagram page (Follow us here). Another important job is advertising the multiple events the VMP has to offer to you. This includes designing posters, which can be seen on multiple channels, like the screens in CAB, the aforementioned Instagram and our own website. Lastly, the department is responsible for the creation and distribution of the VAMP magazine, containing articles by VMP members, interviews, exam statistics and news from the association.

tl;dr: the Communication department is responsible for connecting the VMP board and the VMP members.

Infrastructure

Benjamin Gruzman

If you have any ideas about what the Infrastructure Department does, please let me know. You can reach me with an email to:  infra[ät]vmp.ethz.ch
